Three relational topologies for sociomaterial analysis of learning spaces

Description

The article proposes a methodological framework built on three sequential topologies for the sociomaterial analysis of teaching and learning spaces. As the authors state, the approach is based on "three different topologies: (1) Topologies of influence and activity in the learning space, focused on the use of tools; (2) Topologies for the multi-spatial learning context... and (3) Entanglements in multi-spatial contexts". The first topology is described as "the seed of the second one, and so on", so they were developed iteratively. Each topology starts from a guiding question (who introduces tools; where learning happens; how devices, interfaces and spaces entangle) and is operationalised through concrete data-collection and visualisation procedures.
