Description

A researcher-designed computer-based program whose content was taken from the listening materials and reading comprehension texts in Student's Book (Action Pack 9), built with the help of a computer engineer. Its design "depended on mastery learning", in which students who do not achieve mastery on a task "are given additional support in learning and reviewing the information" before moving on. In listening exercises a student can repeat the audio scripts depending on his ability, and reading exercises included pictures to aid explanation. Questions and answers were accessed through the program to facilitate comprehension.
