Description¶
The study's framework combines Carroll's minimal theory (1995) for the mobile website, Brown and Campione's learning-with-technology theory (1996) for technology integration, and the Creative Product Analysis Matrix (CPAM) of Besemer and Treffinger (1981) for evaluating creativity. It posits two independent variables — use of web mobile for obtaining design information and use of CAD technology in creating new ideas — influencing one outcome, the creative product. CAD integration occurs at the synthesis stage, the simulation stage and before producing the final creative product, with stage products compared across the process.
Design Implications¶
Context¶
Requirements¶
- Integration should use "the latest equipments required to get the accurate results" per Brown and Campione's theory as applied by the researcher
Constraints¶
- The study concentrates on the schematic stage of design, involving sketching and schematic design, not the whole process
Target Learners¶
- polytechnic diploma architecture students
Learning Goals¶
- producing creative architectural design products
Claims¶
- Mobile Cad Integration Higher Creative Final Product [+M]
- Cpam Aspects All Favour Mobile Cad Integration [+M]
