Four-step lesson algorithm: motivation, lecture, game training, reflection¶
Design · All designs
Evidence · no claims cited
Description¶
Classes held by tutors within the two courses followed a repeated four-step algorithm. As the article prints it: "motivation (goal - to generate interest in the topic under discussion); Lecture (objective - to inform the student); game training (goal - practical development of the material); Reflection (goal - fixing, the analysis of information received)". Each lesson in both courses lists talk, lecture/workshop, training workshop and reflection components with a stated proposed outcome.
Design Implications¶
Context¶

- first-year university students in an adaptation-support program
Learning Goals¶
- practical development of course material
- self-organization and planning skills
- reflection on learning
