Polemic web forum tasks on ICT use in a Moodle blended setting

Description

Two problem-solving tasks were implemented in Moodle, an open-source platform the participating school had used since 2006, though the web forum was not previously used there. Task#1 required discussing two polemic newspaper reports, one in favour of and one against using digital technologies in class, with three questions prompting perspective shifts. Task#2 involved perspective-taking, asking students to "imagine school 20 years in the future" and decide who should be responsible for the school. Dyads could freely pick images, videos, texts, emoticons and links from the Web.
