Description¶
After training, a professional support system was constructed involving an expert group, English teaching specialists, education bureau directors, headmasters, core EFL teachers and ordinary EFL teachers, with core teachers connecting all actors. "A learning community of 5 to10 people was built up in central school districts" carrying out weekly face-to-face teaching-research activities, plus a virtual platform (http://www.mtevideo.cn) with regularly-updated resources and a forum. The system was intended to reduce frustration when teachers met difficulties in teaching practice.
