Description

A listening teaching model in which the teacher mainly gives learning aims, assignments and methods while students learn independently inside and outside the classroom and attend the final examination. The article identifies three ways of carrying it out (web courses, radio broadcasting, language labs) and chose language labs because students there have the greatest control. Students gain control over "the length of listening", pace, speed, way, place and material of listening, with the teacher checking results through questions, quizzes and tests.
