Description¶
A 12-item Likert questionnaire developed by Suriá-Martínez et al. to measure higher-education students’ perceived AI utility for educational, informational, and emotional academic support.
Components¶
- Perception of AI Utility Questionnaire (12 items; educational, informational, and emotional support): A 12-item questionnaire designed for this study measuring students' perceived utility of AI in academic contexts across three dimensions: educational support, informational support, and emotional support, each with four items rated on a 5-point Likert scale. An EFA found "The three factors jointly accounted for 70% of the total variance," with loadings from 0.45 to 0.82, and a CFA on an independent sample of 85 students provided preliminary support for the three-factor structure. Reliabilities were α = 0.85, 0.82, 0.80, and 0.87 overall. (Suriá-Martínez R et al. (2026))
Claims¶
- Self-efficacy profiles differ in AI use for informational support (η² = .28) and emotional support (η² = .18) [+M]
- Self-efficacy profiles differ in AI use for educational support (η² = .36), the highest-rated support type in the high profile [+M]
