Description¶
Nie et al.'s 18-item five-dimension self-report scale measures higher education students' perceived capacity to use generative AI responsibly in assessment-related tasks.
Components¶
- Generative AI Assessment Literacy Scale (GAA-LS), an 18-item five-dimension instrument: The GAA-LS is a self-report questionnaire measuring higher education students' assessment-specific capacity to use GenAI responsibly. The final version includes 18 items across five dimensions: assessment criteria awareness (4 items), AI-task appropriateness judgment (4 items), verification and evidence checking (4 items), ethical attribution and academic integrity (3 items), and feedback uptake and revision literacy (3 items). Items use a five-point Likert scale, and subscale and total scores are computed as mean scores, "with higher scores indicating stronger perceived capacity to use GenAI responsibly in assessment-related tasks."
